SuzukiPortland Mentor Program

Young SuzukiPortland violin students are most inspired by playing and learning from children just a bit older than them. The SuzukiPortland Violin, Viola and Cello Mentor Program understands this and is available for all students to participate in. 

Dr. Mishkin, cellist and Director of the SuzukiLakeOswego Preparatory Program will begin a new theory class in the Fall semester starting August 31, 2009.

Sign-up begins August 1.

A new Suzuki Baby Class for ages 0-3 will begin on June 25, 2009. This parent-child class will meet every Thursday morning from 10-11 am. For more information email Catherine@SuzukiPortland.com. The SuzukiPortland studio is the only Suzuki program in Oregon offering Baby Classes taught by a trained Suzuki Early Childhood Education teacher.

Congratulations to Elizabeth and Jackie

Violists and long time SuzukiPortland colleagues and friends, Elizabeth and Jackie represented their high school at the Oregon Music Educators Association (OMEA) state competition this month, both delivering outstanding solo performances. Elizabeth will go on to the final round, having won a placement as a violist and soprano vocal soloist. This event will take place at the University of Oregon in Eugene, on May 2. Good Luck Elizabeth!
